My career in education began in 2000 after receiving my credential as an Education Specialist to work with students with moderate to severe disabilities. I worked in a special day class through Merced County Office of Education with Kindergarten through third grade students. At that time I continued at CSU Fresno a couple nights a week to obtain my Masters in Special Education which I completed December 2002. Soon after I had my first child. The next school year I transferred to Preschool class. In 2004 I decided to stay home with my daughter, then beyond that, my son. So many things happened while I stayed home; a fellow BC teacher and I created a Preschool Co-op, I used my farming skills creating a CSA, I volunteered in my daughter's class, and so much more. I happily returned to the classroom soon before my son began Kindergarten. This time I started in a classroom of Middle School students, February 2011, again with MCOE. In that time I participated in many extra projects having to do with special education. I decided to go back to school for an administrative credential and I completed the course work through CSU Stanislaus in the 2015-16 school year. I signed on with Ballico Cressey as a Resource Specialist June of 2016. There were many avenues that led me to this spectacular district and I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to become a Brave! I truly believe in the BC Mission Statement and share the vision that Kids Come First!
